Hockey league full of surprises
White River's first ladies hockey team's winning streak was checked on Sunday during the 12th round of the Lowveld Club Hockey league.
It was one of the most exciting games by far. Although White River put up a great fight, Nelspruit’s firsts managed to score two goals to one.
White River ladies still tops the log as this was their first loss of this season.
In the men’s side LVCC played Nelspruit which also promised to be an exciting one. LVCC surprised Nelspruit with a strong team that managed to beat the Nelspruiters 2-1 although the latter came into the match as the dominant team.
The teams of KaNyamazane would want to forget this past weekend’s games. The Impala men’s second team smashed them 10-0 and the LVCC 2 ladies took them to the cleaners with 6-0.
