All athletes invited to participate in provincial event
All athletes are invited to participate in the first Mpumalanga open-athletics meeting on September 29 from 15:00 to 20:00.
A provincial athletics meeting will be held at Hoërskool Rob Ferreira’s sports field on behalf of Athletics Mpumalanga and is open to children aged nine to 17, as well as senior, master and veteran athletes.
All the usual track and field items like high jump, shot put and sprints will be on the programme, with the relay events at the end of the meeting consisting of combined age groups.
Senior athletes will compete with the u/17s, while masters and veterans will join the u/15s.
Athletes interested in field events can register at the starting positions, while registration for track items takes place with the starter’s assistant.
Entry is R20 per vehicle and includes a programme. Community members are welcome to come and support them.
