Local gymnasts gather to enjoy a taste for life
Eight-year-old gymnast Rochelle Nel, won an amazing X-Touch iPad sponsored by Mountain Spring Spur.
She is a junior provincial gymnast from Nelspruit Gymnastic Academy (NGA), training at the White River branch.
The gymnasts from this esteemed academy gathered at I’langa Mall to celebrate a successful season and to raise funds.
The Spur hosts the NGA twice annually as part of the Shadow Shift fund-raising initiative.
Gymnasts enjoyed the evening get-together and had great fun showing off their talents.
Their amazing feats caught the attention of passers-by and many onlookers gathered to watch the gymnasts showcase their talents.
The sense of camaraderie among the participants was tangible. It was most entertaining when some of the waiters tried to imitate their moves.
Some on-the-spot coaching by the giggling children erupted in squeals of laughter when a waiter managed an ungainly back walkover.
Spur is committed to keeping patrons happy, healthy and active. This corporate group is known to be a proud partner in sports development.
With the cooperation of the NGA families, it donated R4 860 to NGA. A generous benefactor added R300 to the kitty bringing the total raised for the evening to R5 160.
