Join in for a game of bowls
Whether individuals of any age want to be league players or just want to play socially, they are welcome at the club - even if they have not played yet and do not have bowls.
Bungalows Bowling Club need new members and appeals to the community to join. The club, established at Sabie River Bungalows in 1965, elected John Reston as the first president and Ivan Bruckman as vice-president.
The annual fee was R10 per member and there were 65 at the time. Today the club only has 17 members, with some hailing from Graskop and Kiepersol, but mostly from Hazyview.
Darryl Cross has been the president for the past two years. There are two honorary members and in recent times a junior Springbok, three master’s bowlers, novices, open and senior singles champions, district players and two who play for Mpumalanga have been produced.

There are extra ones at the club and there will be someone who will teach them how to play. Playing time are on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 14:00. Visitors: R25 per person including green fees and tea.
