Local fighters to compete at SAs

According to the president of Mpumalanga Kickboxing Club, Brandt Ehlers, fighters from all over the province contended for a spot in the Mpumalanga team.

Lowveld Fight Club hosted the annual provincial kick-boxing trials on Saturday.

Barberton’s Lowveld Fight Club, Warrior Kickboxing Club from Kriel, Wolves Martial Arts from Mbombela, and Lowveld Kickboxing from White River and Mbombela’s athletes fought with might and main.

Ehlers, also the owner of Lowveld Fightclub in Barberton, said it was an excellent day with some terrific fighting.

“Next year the South African Championships will be held in Cape Town, and Mpumalanga will turn up with a strong team,” added Ehlers.
