Curro thanks those who helped it reach higher
Last week, Curro Nelspruit held its annual sponsors' function.
It has been a successful year for the pupils and staff of Curro Nelspruit.
“We would not have achieved what we have had it not been for the tremendous support of our sponsors,” said head of commerce and educator at Curro, Graeme Stewart.
Curro Nelspruit is part of the community, and the sponsors are part of the school. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and after considering the influence of the sponsors on the children, it certainly rings true.
Curro’s executive head, Paul Viljoen, personally thanked each of the sponsors and handed them a personal gift from the school.

Mike Naude (Steval) and Christo Leeuwner (Land Rover) were also handed framed rugby jerseys to acknowledge their support for the u/14 and first rugby teams.
A highlight of the evening was when Jaco van den Berg (Nkomozi Fuel & Oil), who was the school’s first governing body chairman, was honoured by naming the “A” rugby field after him.
This was a special moment and is indicative of the massive input by Van den Berg over the years. With the support of these sponsors, Curro Nelspruit will continue its successes in the future.
