LHS’ Banele will set the track on fire
Lowveld's High School's athletes did their school proud during their interhouse athletics meeting on Tuesday.

Houses Albany, Graham, Bathurst and Sommerset fought gamely for the top spot, with just 10 points separating the first and second spots. In the end Albany took the spoils with a total of 349 points, closely followed by Graham. Bathurst was hot on its heels with 324,5.
Some of the greatest contributors to Albany’s win, were Marcus Sibiya, Bianca Mkhonza, Bukhosi Khoza, Mikhenso Khoza and Rasheed Gardee who all scored 14 points or more.
Banele Muwayi was one athlete worth singling out, when he reached a whopping distance of 6,83 metres in the long jump boys u/16, bagging 971 ABSA points for this event and 1 742 in total.
He was also the first to cross the finish line in the 90-metre hurdles in his age group.
