Four swimmers splash their way to 18 medals
Hours of hard training earned four Malalane swimmers a total of 18 medals at a Mpumalanga Age Group Gala in Middelburg over the weekend.
Four Malalane swimmers competed under the Nelspruit Swimming Academy Development team last weekend at a provincial gala in Middelburg.
Rossouw Janson, from Laerskool Malelane, received a bronze medal for 100m freestyle and three silver medals for 50m freestyle, 50m and 100m breaststroke.

Deon Janse van Rensburg of Hoërskool Nelspruit received gold for 100m and 200m breaststroke, silver for 100m freestyle and bronze for 200m freestyle.
Janca Hattingh, also from Laerskool Malelane, won gold for 50m and 100m freestyle, 50m breaststroke and 200m individual medley.

Hannah von Falkenhausen of Riverview Prep won gold for 50m butterfly and breaststroke and silver for 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley.
They all managed to improve their times in most of their events.
