LHS wins 10, loses six
Lowveld High School (LHS) proved to be a force to be reckoned with when they won 10, and drew one of 17 games against Sybrand van Niekerk this past weekend.

Lowveld High School (LHS) proved to be a force to be reckoned with when they won 10, and drew one of 17 games against Sybrand van Niekerk this past weekend.
The host, LHS first netball team, thrashed Sybrand with 36 goals. The latter only managed to score 14 goals against the
50 of LHS.
The gap separating the u/14 As, u/15 Bs and the second team, was, however, significantly smaller. LHS won the former 11-8, and managed to beat the u/15s, 6-1. Only two points separated the second teams and LHS walked away with a 10-8 win.
Sybrand’s u/14 Bs, u/15 As, u/16 Bs and u/16 As establishing superiority with four convincing wins over LHS. The latter’s u/14s suffered a 10-6 loss, the u/15s 5-7, and the u/16 As 3-10. The u/16 Bs lost by only one point.
It was, however, a completely different story on the rugby field. None of Sybrand’s team were able to secure a win. Most teams, with the exception of the u/15s who lost by 22 points, were beaten by between 41 and
64 points.
The first team suffered the biggest defeat, as they were only able to get 10 points on the scoreboard, against the 74 of LHS.
Not far behind, and not able to secure a single point, were the u/14s, who suffered a
60-0 loss.
The second and u/16 teams were beaten by a respective 42 and 41 points.
The visitors impressed on the hockey field when their u/14s and u/16s won 1-0, and their u/16s drew 1-1. Their first team, however, suffered a 3-0 defeat.
