R50 000 raised for Dasha Foundation
The golf day was organised as a fund-raiser for the Dasha Foundation by the Fountain Square Construction company, based in the city.
Fifty golfers converged on the Mbombela Golf Club on Thursday March 29 for the first annual Fountain Square Foundation Golf Day.
The day’s activities started with sponsors taking to the green to play a betterball Stableford scrambled-drive format game on the pristine Mbombela golf course.

“The event was well attended and was a huge success, with over R50 000 being raised,” said Monde Nkomazi, operations manager at Fountain Square. She added that all the proceeds will be donated to Dasha to assist in the daily operations of the school in tending to the needs of disabled children.
“Fountain Square Foundation has committed itself to make this event an annual one on the local calendar, and we expect to raise more funds for charitable foundations in the near future with the generous support of our sponsors,” said Fountain Square CEO Lebogang Shilangu.
