LVCC defend their knock-out title
The LVCC women's hockey team registered their second consecutive Ehlanzeni knockout title as they defeated Impala in the finals 5-0.

The finals took place last week at Penryn College’s AstroTurf.
Goals for LVCC were scored by Beula Potgieter (two) and Luzinda van Staden, who earned a hat trick.
Mpumalanga Hockey recently announced the squad that will represent the province at the senior ladies Interprovincial Tournament (IPT), set to take place in Durban from April 26 to May 2.
LVCC boast three players in the provincial team: first-team player of the year, Lenthea Kamffer, junior player of the year, Marné van Aarde and Christine de Villiers.
Elané van Dijk, Nicole Merryweather and Marizelle Cilliers from Impala and Vicky Vorster of White River will also travel with the team to Durban.
As a result of Mpumalanga’s victory over Eastern Province in the B league finals during last year’s IPT held in Randburg, they have advanced to the A league.
In 2017, five local players were selected to represent the province. This year seven Lowvelders are part of the Mpumalanga team.
