New era, new beginnings for Pumas
The Pumas are heralding "a new era" after announcing iCollege as their new major sponsor on a three-year deal.
“We are extremely excited to welcome iCollege to the Pumas family. They are not only a dynamic organisation, but Derek and his team cover a broad product and service line aimed at empowering the youth of South Africa. There is a lot of synergy between the two brands, and we look forward to further entrenching the respective brands in South Africa and later internationally,” said the CEO of Mpumalanga Rugby Union, Pieter Burger.

The sponsorship deal begins immediately with the Pumas to play in their new jerseys when they host the Vodacom Blue Bulls tomorrow at Nelspruit Rugby Club for the kick-off of the Super Sport Challenge.
“We are extremely excited about our association with the Pumas. Like us, the Pumas are an upcoming brand that have already achieved results by beating some of the major teams. We have already established the Pumas Academy, which provides online learning and mentoring. Our intention is to take education to communities through sport. Rugby and sport administration in general needs to change rapidly. Gone are the days that ticket sales only determine the success of a team. Our aim is to assist the Pumas to become a self-sustaining entity with recurring income. Go Pumas,” said iCollege CEO, Derek le Roux.
