Papier to start for Vodacom Blue Bulls XV
Coach of the Vodacom Blue Bulls XV named a strong team for their opening match of the SuperSport Rugby Challenge against the iCollege Pumas in Mbombela tomorrow at Nelspruit Rugby Club.
Blue Bulls scrumhalf Embrose Papier will start at scrumhalf.
He was one of 11 Bulls players named in new Bok coach Rassie Erasmus’ first of three alignment camps.
Papier, who has impressed in the colours of his union the Bulls in Super Rugby this season so far, had his first taste of a Springbok camp when the group assembled April 1 to 4 in Vanderbijlpark, Johannesburg.
Former pupil of Hoërskool Garsfontein, Papier is one of five players that saw recent action for the Vodacom Bulls, along with Conrad van Vuuren (former pupil of Hoërskool Nelspruit), Hendre Stassen, Ruben van Heerden and Francois Brummer (former Pumas player), in the starting line-up.
Blitzbok star Tim Agaba , who made his Super Rugby debut for the Bulls in the massive clash against defending champions Crusaders in March have been included in the team and will play off the bench.
