Nolwazi set to compete overseas
Two-time South African School gold medallist, Nolwazi Mashaba will descend upon Boksburg Athletics Stadium to contest for regional honours at the 2018 CAA Southern Region Youth & Junior Championships.

At 16 years old Nolwazi is the only athlete from Mpumalanga partaking. She will compete in the u/18 triple-jump event. She will be a driving force as one of 133 South African athletes who has been selected to represent their country.
The championships is hosted by Athletics South Africa (ASA) under its ASA province of Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA).

These 534 athletes will be representing 11 countries which include Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Angola, Zambia, Seychelles, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana and South Africa.
Earlier this year, the athlete of Lowveld High School spearheaded the province’s efforts at the South African School Championships when she took gold with a distance of 12,32 metres for girls u/17 in the triple-jump event.
Nolwazi hopes to be selected by ASA to represent her country later this year at the IAAF World Juniour Championships in Finland, CAA Youth all Africa Games in Algiers, the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires and African Union Sport Council Region 5 U/20 Youth Games.
She will be in action today at 13:00.
