Spoeg en Plak fight for their medal
The B mixed team of Puma N4 easily bagged a gold medal in the finals of the Action Sport Netball league when they thrashed TGR 34 goals to eight.
The Puma N4s opened an impressive gap of 16-2 by half-time.
Goal defence, Carla Ras and Anelda Davies were worth their weight in gold for their team as they were responsible for many turnovers. Corrie de Lange, who has been on fire throughout the season, also needs mentioning for his skills on the court.
TGR’s goal attack Saartjie Bekker and goal shooter Ethan van der Westhuizen had a difficult time under the posts due to the tall Puma N4 defenders.
The encounter between the mixed A team of Spoeg en Plak and Eagle Kings was a nail-biter. In the dying seconds of the game Spoeg en Plak scored the winning goal, also claiming the gold medal by 24 goals to 23.
