Golfers have a ball in aid of charity

The annual Peter Cruse Golf Day will be held at Mbombela Golf Club on Friday. This event is one of Child Welfare Nelspruit's fundraising initiatives.

There are a lot of prizes to be won and the public can have fun while making a difference.
The first tee-off will be at 10:30.

Babongile Mabuza, from the organisation, said that the players are welcome to arrive early for registration.

”The public is still welcome to enter for the golf day,”she said.

The format is four-ball alliances with a scramble drive. The four ball (from R3000) and the sponsorship includes four meal tickets, four raffle tickets and live entertainment. Extra raffle and meal tickets are available.

The Peter Cruse Child Welfare Nelspruit Golf Day goes back many years and, with the help of Peter Cruse, Sally Blair’s father and his vigorous fundraising, the event raised very large sums of money in the past. It has subsequently been named the Peter Cruse Child Welfare SA Nelspruit Golf Day.

“The Cruse family have continuously supported this drive, and this year is no different. A big thank you to Camp & Gas and its family for the hands-on support they have showed Child Welfare as well,” said Mabuza.
