Special-needs winners aim for MP team
Estralita School hosted the Mpumalanga Sports Association for the Intellectually Impaired trials and development gala at York Timbers pool in Sabie last weekend.
Five special-needs schools attended the gala as well as independent swimmers for development swimming.
Forty athletes enjoyed the exciting day.
Ronel Bekker from Mpumalanga Province Swimming, gave training to 19 timekeepers and five judges.
The provincial team, which will be in action at the National SASAII Summer Games in March 2019 in the Northern Cape, will soon be announced.
At the national event athletes will want to perform at their best to make the South African squad for the INAS Global Games in Brisbane in October 2019.
