Putting for charity at year-end golf day

Golfers who love to have some fun and are crazy about summer and music had a swing at Rooikat's fifth annual golf day last week.

Rooikat’s Summer & Beach Party brought together some the biggest names of the liquor industry and corporate sector in the Lowveld.

Each player received a Rooikat-branded shirt, cap, some goodies and a free pair of flip flops.
This year’s beneficiary was the Carli Breytenbach Trust. A total of R40 000 was raised for the 14-year-old.

Six months after Carli was born, she had an average of 20 epileptic attacks per day which affected her speech. Since then her condition improved drastically and she is doing much better.

At the 19th hole, players sipped on drinks and enjoyed live entertainment.

Winners
Closest to the pin, hole three – Wessel van Wyk
Longest drive, seven – Martin Maritz
Closest to the pin, 13 – Albert Claassens
Longest drive, 18 – Morné Craffert.
