Rollers claim victory at Riverview Prep interhouse athletics

The Rollers chalked up their first house victory for the year during Riverview Prep School's interhouse athletics on Friday morning.

During Friday’s interhouse athletics the blue team (Rollers) of Riverview Prep School managed to gather 325 points compared to 316 by the Hornbills in red.

Rivalry between the two houses is friendly and enthusiastic, even among the parents who supported the learners from the shade.

To promote school spirit, endurance and an active lifestyle, all learners of the school were encouraged to participate in all items.

Lukhanyo Mlangeni improved the record for girls u/12 1 200m (5:11, 17) with her time of 5:07,53.
In the same item and age group, Yusuf Dadashov improved the boys’ record to 5:17,93 from 5:27,53.

The day’s trophy winners were:
Senior victor ludorum – Lad Mnisi with 1 880 ASA points
Senior victrix ludorum – Nova Sutherland with 2 630 ASA points
Junior victor ludorum – Tendani Mudao with 1 190 ASA points.
