Athletes give an exceptional performance at Hoërskool Bergvlam’s interhouse

Chiné Maritz broke a shot put record in the u/16 category with a throw of 10,85 metres at Hoërskool Bergvlam's interhouse on Tuesday.

Other athletes performed exceptionally well too, breaking records in their events.

The u/14s truly showed off: Banele Magagula won 200 metres, clocking 25,65 seconds, and the 100-metre hurdles in 18,50 seconds.

Thando Maseko finished second but still broke the standing record in the 100-metre hurdles in 18,57 seconds, and won the sprint in 12,41 seconds.

Masuku Rebotile won the 90-metre hurdles in 19,20 seconds and Lwandzile Dlamini won hers, completing the race in a time of 19,63 seconds.

Lastly, Sihle Sigudu made a winning leap of 13,98 metres in the u/17 boy’s triple jump.These youngsters have proven that they mean business this year.
