Grahame House wins the first interhouse meeting
Judging by the results, it seems as if it will be a competitive year for these athletes.

Grahame House won the first interhouse athletics meeting of 2019 at Lowveld High School last Friday.
Nolwazi Mashaba did not disappoint, keeping up with her trend and showed off with a distance of 5,11 metres in the u/14 girl’s long jump, scoring 788 points.

Others also excelled during the first athletics meeting for the year. Banele Muwayi (u/17) landed a distance of
6,50 metres in the long jump – securing 820 points.
Bandile Sifunda jumped 1,8 metres in the boys u/17 high jump category, scoring 788 points.
Bandile also jumped 5,10 metres in long jump, getting 610 points. Rikotso Mbuyelo impressed with a distance of 4,89 metres in the u/14 boy’s long jump and completed the 100-metre race in 12,14 seconds.
He scored 744 points for in the long jump and 734 for his sprint.

Prosperity Magagula jumped 1,75 metres in the u/17 boys high jump (768 points). Rasheed Gardee obtained 708 points when he jumped 1,50 metres in the u/14 boys high jump.
Sinithemba Mlambo completed the u/14 girl’s 100-metre race in a time of 13,84 seconds (698 points), and went on to complete the 200-metre event in 28,12 seconds (759).
Sinithemba also landed a 4,16-metre jump, getting 669 points for her performance in long jump.
Shane Mavundla (u/16) ran 200 metres in 25,09 seconds and scored 700 points. Melusi Maphanga jumped 1,60 metres in the u/16 boys high jump, bagging 704 points. Blake Olifant managed a throw of 43 metres in the u/17 boy’s javelin. He got 575 points. Thapelo Gololo scored 520 points when he threw a distance of 40 metres.
