Langeveldt takes the win at WRCC

This year's competition saw 84 golfers take to the tees - 16 more than last year.

Christopher Langeveldt, from Mbombela tore up 36 holes at White River Country Club (WRCC) to win the White River Open title last Sunday.

The format of the day was stroke play, and the main sponsor was Xerox. This year’s competition saw 84 golfers take to the tees – 16 more than last year.

Langeveldt completed 36 holes in the gross division with 139 shots – a round of 69 followed by a 70. In this division, one shot separated the first and second place, with Anton Steenkamp and Rikus Nel battling it out to the end. Steenkamp however claimed second place with 144 shots – rounds of 73 and 71.

Anglers bag the big ones at LBT#1

The all-day nett winner was Johannes Boshoff with 138 (par) and the nett runner up was David Goodwin, also with 138 (par).
