Katlego Mofokeng was the best boy's field athlete.

Nelspruit Primary athletes showed off their athletics skills during the 2019 Hi-Tech Interprimary on Saturday.

This athlete proved he is one to be reckoned with when he broke a record in the u/11 boys high jump by jumping a height of 1.37 metres, breaking a record which had been standing since 2010.

In this item he was followed by Nthando Ngobe, from the same school, who jumped a height of 1,30 metres.
Katlego also took fourth place in another item; u/11 boys long jump. Nthando got a gold in the u/11 boys 80-metre race, with a time of 11,25.

In this u/11 80-metre race, Nthando was followed by Siya Khoza. He completed the race with a time of 11,34.
Sethu Mathebula took gold in the u/11 girls 80 metres, finishing with a time of 11,40. She was 19 seconds ahead of the silver medallist, who completed the race with a time of 11,59.

In the u/11 girls 100 metres, she got a silver medal for a time of 14,44. She then got bronze in the u/11 girls high jump. Sethu jumped a height of 1,28m.


Nkomazi Gugulethu took first place in the u/11 boy’s 100 metres. He completed the race in a time of 14,25, with the silver medallist completing the race with a time of 14.25.


Clint Malwane got the bronze medal, finishing in a time of 14.38. Mahlori Ntimbana, who is also from Nelspruit Primary, took fifth place.
