Penryn takes sports online for their pupils

The school counts sport as a crucial part of their learner's growth and development.

Shoain Shelton, Penryn Prep sports coordinator, said in a statement, “Benefits of participation in sport include: maintaining mental health and physical fitness, aiding in the building of one’s time management skills and it boosts one’s self-confidence, to name a few.”

Shelton explained, “These benefits are essential for lifelong learning and form the foundation of our decision as the Penryn sports department to create an online platform to engage with our pupils.

“It is of the utmost importance to us to ensure they still receive the necessary weekly skills to further their development. These activities will be presented to all pupils from grade R to 7 with different difficulty levels, primarily focusing on age-appropriate gross-motor development,” he added.
