Prep kids get back on their bikes

Summerhill Preparatory started cycling again at school this past term. Five learners recently attended an MTB XCM Race hosted by Uplands Prep.

Reyneke (grade R) and Barco van Heerden (grade two) completed the five-kilometre race.

Tshegofatso Maile (grade R and the only girl), Reyneke van Heerden (grade R), Tebogo Maile (grade two) and Barco van Heerden (grade two) all completed the five-kilometre race.

Henroe Gouws (grade three) was the hero of the day as he tackled a very tough 15 kilometres and completed the race.

“We are extremely proud of all of them and grateful to their parents for taking their children through,” said Cheryl Calmeyer, head of Summerhill Prep.
