Mbombela Golf Club’s Cameron Borcher wins PGA National Mbombela Pro-Am
Tournament organiser, Darren Plump, thanked the sponsors, without which the event would not be possible.

Cameron Borcher scored 108 points to win the third PGA National Mbombela Pro-Am hosted by Darren Plumb at the Mbombela Golf Club.
The individual Stableford format tournament was played over 54 holes from Sunday to Tuesday.
Rounds one and two were played in intermittent drizzle, but the Lowveld sun came out for the final round.
The course was in pristine condition.
Professional golfer Borcher, playing out of Mbombela Golf Club, finished the first round tied third with defending champion, Ivano Ficalbi, of Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club, both on 36 points.

Ficalbi finished day two in third place, his 35 giving him a total of 71 points with 18 holes to play.
Borcher held his nerve on the final day, edging out McCabe by a single point, 35 to 34.
His 108 points earned him the title of 2021 National Mbombela Pro-Am champion.
He made nine birdies, 36 pars and nine bogeys over the three rounds.
Borcher is an alumnus of Rob Ferreira High School.

“It was an honour and privilege for the club to host the third playing of the PGA National Pro-Am. This event was again a huge success and could not have been possible without the main sponsors, NKP Consultants, Vodacom, Standard Bank and Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency.
“The out-of-towners love coming down to the friendly Lowveld region and enjoy what the town and club have to offer.
“It was awesome that Cameron Borcher, a local PGA member, could lift this year’s trophy. We look forward to hosting this event again next year and encourage the local golf enthusiasts to join in,” said Plumb.
