Mpumalanga swimmers race against the clock at Van Riebeeck Park

The standard of competition was high.

The Mpumalanga Swimming Age Group 2 Gala was held at Van Riebeeck Park on Friday and Saturday. Swimmers from clubs and schools in the Lowveld and Highveld took to the pool to race against their own personal best times and to qualify for competitive galas later in the season.

Once again the performances were of an exceptionally high standard.

The 50m freestyle saw three swimmers dipping under 47 seconds. Radley Henning (Curro Swimming Academy) clocked 26:49, Neil Burger (Curro Swimming Academy) finished in 26:51 and Leson Visagie (Midwit) clocked 26:91.
