The annual Westvaal Motor Group Laerskool Nelspruit Friendly Athletics Meeting was held in the true sporting spirit the four competing school are known for.

Track and field athletes from Laerskool Bergland, Laerskool Laeveld, Laerskool Nelspruit and Nelspruit Primary School were in action to fine-tune their skills for the competitive events that lie ahead this athletics season.

The trophy winners were:
• Best girl field athlete: Amy van Wyk (Nelspruit)
• Best boy field athlete: Roelf Winterbach (Nelspruit)
• Best junior boy sprinter: Joel Akum (Primary)
• Best junior girl sprinter: Anika Geldenhuijs (Nelspruit)
• Best senior girls sprinter: Chenade Botma (Bergland)
• Best senior boy sprinter: Jamie Doncaster (Nelspruit)
• Best girl hurdler: Alize Engelbrecht (Nelspruit)
• Best boy hurdler: Jamie Doncaster (Nelspruit)
• Best girl middle distance athlete: Leney Maree (Nelspruit)
• Best boy middle distance athlete: Julian Middel (Nelspruit).
• Best achievement on ASA table, boys: Jamie Doncaster (Nelspruit)
