Samuel McIntosh and Dalmyn Pretorius pushed each other from start to finish in the youth men category at Mpumalanga XCO #4 on Saturday.

The mountain bike cross-country races were held at Mankele.

It was clear from early on in the first lap that either Samuel or Dalmyn would be claiming first place.

It was Samuel who was awarded the win, although both were credited with the same time, 00:44:57, over the four laps.

Seth Watts was third in 00:45:51.
