Second consecutive win for Glencore at Lydenburg Golf Club
Mining league gaining momentum.
A high-quality round of golf was played on August 20 during round four of the Eastern Limb Mining Golf League (ELMGL) at Lydenburg Golf Club.
Northam Platinum Booysendal hosted the day. The top five teams were all separated by only 10 team points. Glencore Eastern Mines Team 1 became the first team in the league to win back-to-back rounds, and was closely followed by the overall log leaders.

The leaders of the ELMGL are Two Rivers Platinum Mine with 65 points in the overall standings, followed by Glencore Eastern Mines Team 1 with 54 points. Mototolo Anglo American Team 1 and Samancor Eastern Mines Team 2 are joint third on 32 points. The league also thanks EDG for its sponsorship. The next round will take place on September 17.

- First: Johan Arnoldi, Godfrey Watermeyer, Rudi Hanekom and Miné Watermeyer (Glencore Eastern Mines Team 1)
- Second: Koos Laas, Sandy Henderson, Johnny van Rooyen and Jaco van Rooyen (Two River Platinum Mine Team 1)
- Third: Bertus Swart, Martin van Rooyen, Denver Fraser and Jakes van der Sandt (Samancor Eastern Chrome Mines Team 2)
- Fourth: Lohann van der Merwe, Arthur Steynfaard, Johan Enslin and Johan Volschenk (Mototolo Anglo American Mine Team 3)
- Fifth: Ivan Gouws, Gerald Lake, Neels Prinsloo and Frans Grobler (Samancor Eastern Chrome Mines Team 2)
- Nearest to the pin on six and 15: Morné van Esch (Samancor Eastern Chrome Mines Team 1)
- Nearest to the pin on eight and 17: Johnny van Rooyen (Two Rivers Platinum Mine Team 1)
- Longest putt: Jaco van Rooyen (Two Rivers Platinum Mine Team 1)
- Longest drive: Johan Viljoen (Northam Platinum Booysendal Team 4)
- Best individual score: Lehan van der Mescht (Two Rivers Platinum Mine Team 3) on 47 points, earning his team five log points on the day.
