For the unfamiliar, the Lowvelder Golf Challenge is a series of 10 monthly golf challenges hosted by Lowvelder at the Mbombela Golf Club. It is open to anyone and everyone, and all you need to do is book an official tee time with the golf club for the day of the challenge.

The competition format is individual Stableford, and participants need to play 18 holes. Each golf day is also a great deal of fun, with a lot of gees that is often the overriding factor that Blake Linder makes each day special.

There is no specific start time for the day next week either, so you can play your round at any time. There is also an overall leaderboard with the accumulative tally of all of your points from each golf day that comes into play for the final golf challenge in November.

At the moment, Lowvelder editor Stefan de Villiers is in the lead with 78 points. Johan van Rensburg is second with 72, Hennie Venter third with 62, Corrie van Niekerk fourth with 62 and Koot Bekker fifth with 51.
