Postponed TS Galaxy fixture dates confirmed

TS Galaxy’s two outstanding DStv Premiership fixtures against Mamelodi Sundowns have finally been given new dates, the club has confirmed.

While TS Galaxy has a total of three outstanding DStv Premiership fixtures, which were postponed earlier in the season, they have now received the dates for their clashes with Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Rockets’ three outstanding games are against Mamelodi Sundowns (originally scheduled for November 12, 2023, and March 6 respectively), and Kaizer Chiefs (originally scheduled for February 13). The first of the two matches against the Sundowns was postponed as it fell on the same day as the African Football League final, which Sundowns won.

Then, the match against the Kaizer Chiefs was postponed as it was part of the midweek fixtures that immediately followed the Africa Cup of Nations, where Bafana Bafana won bronze. All of the DStv Premiership fixtures in that week were postponed.

Finally, the fixture against Sundowns on March 6 was postponed after the TS Galaxy team bus was involved in an accident en route to Mbombela for the match.

While TS Galaxy still awaits the new date for the fixture against Kaizer Chiefs, it was confirmed earlier today, April 24, when their two matches against Mamelodi Sundowns will take place. The first will be away, at Loftus Versveld, on Monday April 29 at 19:30. The return fixture will be played on Tuesday May 28 at Mbombela Stadium, with kick-off also at 19:30.
