IN PHOTOS: UXi Pumas enjoy day of camaraderie and team building

The players of the UXi Sport Pumas Rugby Institute were recently able to unwind and strengthen their bonds a bit with a fun team building day.

More than 50 players from the UXi Sport Pumas Rugby Institute enjoyed a day of team building at Little Loftus Sports Pub & Grill recently, enhancing their bonds with one another.

The players at the UXi Pumas have been working hard this year, furthering not only their rugby skills but their academic abilities too. The institute provides young, aspiring rugby players the opportunity to further their studies while still being able to focus hard on their rugby careers.

This leads to young players from right around the country joining their ranks. With people from all sorts of backgrounds, a day of team-building can go a long way, and the UXi Pumas players proved this on Friday, August 2, when they descended on Little Loftus for a day of activities.

The players took part in a squad run before taking on a tug-of-war challenge, an 8-ball pool tournament and also a ‘beer pong’ tournament. Janco De Lange and Armand Fourie were the victorious duo in the ‘beer pong’ tournament, while coaches Jacques Momberg and Christo Roos triumphed in the 8-ball pool tournament.
