The penultimate Lowvelder Golf Challenge is here!
October's instalment of the Lowvelder Golf Challenge is the second-last in the 2024 series.
Chances for golfers to put their best rounds forward in the Lowvelder Golf Challenge are wearing thin, as the ninth and penultimate edition will be held next Wednesday, October 30.
Held on one Wednesday a month with a total of 10 monthly golf days in the series, the inaugural Lowvelder Golf Challenge series has struck a chord with regular golfers at Mbombela Golf Club this year. The Lowvelder Golf Challenge is organised and held in co-ordination with Du Toit Smuts & Partners Attorneys and Octopi Smart Solutions.
The inaugural challenge was launched in February and the best attended day was in April, when 89 players participated. While each individual golf day is a competition in its own right, there is, as always, a bigger picture at play for the participating golfers.

Everyone needs to try and put together a string of five really good rounds come the end of the series in November, as it is your five best scores that will count to your eligibility for the overall prize.
Things are pretty simple with the competition, too, as it is just your regular old individual Stableford format that is played on every occasion. Denise West currently leads the way in the top 10 after the first eight editions, and will be hoping to build up a bigger lead come the ninth edition next week.
There is no additional fee to enter the competition, and all you need to do is book a tee time with Mbombela Golf Club and pay the regular green fees. You can book your spot by contacting the club on either 013 744 0952 or 066 124 5907.
