White River karatekas rise to new gradings

The three karatekas advanced to higher grading under the tutelage of Sensei Babsie Roos.

Three karatekas from the White River Kimura Shukokai Dojo recently took their karate to the next level, earning new gradings in Polokwane in November.

This White River trio donned their karate gear and travelled to Polokwane in Limpopo for the grading tournament on November 16.

Carel Roos (yellow belt) along with Surika (orange advanced belt) and Miandi Dierks (orange advanced belt) took on the challenge in pursuit of new belts.

Under the guidance of Sensei Babsie Roos the trio achieved great success and each of them managed to obtain a new grading.

Carel advanced from yellow to orange belt, while Surika and Miandi both went from orange advanced to green belts.
