Jimmy Stonehouse 10s all set for 3rd kick-off this Saturday
From this third edition of the Jimmy Stonehouse 10s, netball will also be featured in the competition.

The third edition of the annual Jimmy Stonehouse 10s competition is ready to go on Saturday, March 22, with a bigger and better event on offer this year.
Started in 2023 and named after the legendary Airlink Pumas coach, Jimmy Stonehouse, this 10s competition has proved a welcome addition to the local rugby calendar.
Its timing is perfect for local club rugby players, as it’s merely a month away from the start of their 2025 season, offering them a chance to get in some more preseason work.

This year’s event promises to be the biggest and best one yet. Competitions of a similar nature have taken the country by storm in recent years, and often include other sporting codes such as netball.
From this year onwards, netball will be included in the Jimmy Stonehouse 10s, with the organisers adding both a competitive women’s league as well as a social league for mixed gender teams.
The rugby section of the competition will be split into three divisions – a Premier League Division, a Mayor’s League Division and a social league for players over 35. Another aspect of the event debuting this year is the best-dressed team competition, with separate competitions for the netball and rugby teams.
To qualify for this competition, teams must design and order their kit from the Pumas’ clothing manufacturer, Must Be Nice Clothing, which is offering teams an affordable way to get kitted out for the 10s. The kit must also feature the Jimmy Stonehouse 10s logo to qualify.
An exciting new addition to the event will be on the entertainment front in the form of the Miss Stonehouse 10s pageant for girls between the ages 16 and 21. Further entertainment on the day will include live music, a beer tent, a kids’ play park and food stalls aplenty to keep everyone’s bellies full.
But arguably the best part of the Jimmy Stonehouse 10s? Entrance is free, for everyone!
All you need to do is pitch up and enjoy the talent on display on the rugby fields, netball courts and of course, the catwalk, too.
