The Lowveld Singles Bowls Championships were held at Nelspruit Bowling Club on Saturday.

Eighty-nine players of Hazyview Bungalows, White River, Nelspruit, LVCC, Barberton and Lydenburg clubs competed.

Madeleine de Klerk of Nelspruit Bowling Club won the open ladies’ division, with Christie Cross of Bungalows second.
Anne-Marie van der Hum of Barberton Bowling Club was third and Karien Greyvenstein of White River Bowling Club fourth.

Rohan Greyvenstein of White River Bowling Club took the champion’s title in the open men’s division. He beat Charl Christensen of Nelspruit in the final.

Danie Theron of Nelspruit was third and Francois Hanekom of White River fourth.

The top four finishers in each division will play in the Mpumalanga Singles Championships in May.
