Mashaba and Isaiah cross the finish line first at Uniwisp Urban 2 in 1 in Mbombela

The event consisted of a 10km and a 21.1 km race was well supported.

The host club won both the men’s and the women’s half-marathon at the Uniwisp Urban 2-in-1 on Saturday May 4.

The 21.1km and 10km races started and finished at Nelspruit Rugby Club.

Uniwisp’s Abednico Mashaba claimed a comfortable victory in the men’s half-marathon in a time of 01:06:24.

Sifiso Ngcobo of City of Mbombela Marathon Club was second in 01:07:28. Nedbank LVCC’s Albert Kankor took third place in 01:08:41.

The women’s 21.1km race was won by Rosaline Isaiah of Uniwisp in a time of 01:22:57.

The second women’s runner across the line was Nomvula Sithole of LowMed in 01:24:24, and Sandra Mashaba of Kruger Park Marathon Club was third in 01:34:22.
