IN PHOTOS: Bowlers deliver charity during Helpende Hand fun day

Funds were raised in aid of the various initiatives of Helpende Hand Solidariteit Nelspruit.

Some 22 teams competed for a good cause at the Helpende Hand Solidariteit Nelspruit Bowls Fun Day held at the Nelspruit Bowls Club on Saturday, August 2.

According to Riekie Trollip of Helpende Hand Solidariteit Nelspruit, the day was a great success, with teams going all out to dress up for the occasion and show their spirit.

“The purpose of the fun day was to raise funds for the various initiatives Helpende Hand supports. A total of R18 000 was raised, which will be used to assist those who truly need it,” said Trollip.

The children enjoyed the jumping castle and were kept busy with face painting and cupcake decorating.

The Jimny Giants quickly got the hang of delivering a wood towards the jack and walked away with first place.

Rol Renosters came second, while Kings and Queens secured third.

Bombsquad, GFS and Ai Kariba were named the best-dressed teams.
