The 2025 Dust Buster MTB series came to a thrilling end at Halls Farm on Sunday, October 19.

Dust Buster #3 decided the final series positions with riders battling it out over 5km, 16km, 35km and 55km routes for top honours.

The annual Dust Buster has become famous as a family MTB event. Various categories cater for all contenders, from young beginners – who often compete with siblings or parents (and grandparents) – to riders who compete on provincial, national and international levels.

Gazebo camps are set up close to the start and finish with braais going long after the formalities have ended.

One of the sought-after series titles is that of Crank Champ. This is for the fastest times in the 35km and 55km distances throughout the three races. In the 35km event, Lana de Vries and Dian Pretorius took the crown. Maya de Vries and Emile van Niekerk were the crank champs in the 55km.

Maya was the youth female 55km winner in Dust Buster #3 and the overall series winner in her category.

The 2025 Dust Buster series was presented and executed by 2D Adventures.
