World Cup winners Danie Roussouw and Mark Andrews were among the legends.

The Lowveld Region of SANParks Honorary Rangers (HR) hosted a successful Herholdt’s Group and Westvaal Rugby Legends (SARLA) Golf Day and Rugby Clinic in White River to raise critical funds and awareness for approved projects within the Kruger National Park, particularly following the recent floods.

The golf day, held at White River Country Club on Friday, February 27, featured a full field of 29 fourballs with every tee box sponsored, reflecting strong local business support.

Various businesses contributed generous donations, prizes and auction items.

The rugby clinic at White River Primary had meaningful grassroots impact, with the HRs and rugby legends inspiring young players while reinforcing conservation awareness.

As the preferred volunteer organisation of SANParks, the HRs rely on corporate sponsorships and public support to advance conservation efforts.

Estelle Roe, fundraising: Lowveld Region of SANParks Honorary Rangers, expressed sincere thanks to the Lowveld community for its outstanding support and hospitality.
