Ready for national hounours
A matric pupil of Lowveld High School, Thembeka Ngwenya has been selected for the Mpumalanga cross-country team that will compete for the South African juniors in George, Cape Town.

She came second this past weekend in the provincial championships held in Witbank at Cambridge Academy.
“I want to improve on my personal best of 27 minutes by three minutes. I need to get my priorities in place and be more dedicated,” said Ngwenya. This is the second year that she is included in the team (there was no cross-country in 2013) and she has been representing her province in athletics for four years in the SA juniors as well as for the SA schools.
Her coach, Celeste Jansen van Vuuren is very proud of the up-and-coming athlete. “She is hard working, dedicated and humble. Ngwenya’s head is in the right place and she will do very well,” said Jansen van Vuuren.
