Players strengthen their bond on the field
Although it quickly became clear that Hoërskool Nelspruit were the stronger competitors, the main purpose of the day was not to win, but to build a better bond between the schools.

Sports teams of Lowveld High School (LHS) and Hoërskool Nelspruit measured strength against each other on the former’s home turf last week.
Even though only friendly rugby and netball matches were played, the competition was fierce. But it quickly became clear that the visitors were the stronger competitors. However, the main purpose of the day was not to win, but to build a better bond between the schools.
“It pushes the players to work harder and to prepare for the bigger matches that lie ahead in the season,” says Francina du Plessis, market manager at LHS. Here is Una Manyisa of LHS about to be tackled.
