LHS continues winning streak on tennis courts

The girls’ tennis players of Lowveld High School (LHS) are on fire. The teams continued with their winning streak when they hosted Hoërskool Bergvlam in a round of matches recently.

Taking the lead, Wandi Mawela and Nono Shongwe helped LHS beat their opponents by a combined total of 31 games to 24. Earlier this month LHS’s girls also beat Hoërskool Rob Ferreira by a total of 31 games to 24.

Last week Nono beat Bergvlam’s Chloé Swanepoel by eight games to two, and Wandi managed to beat her opponent Monika van Wyk by five games to four. The doubles teams of both schools each won one game.
