Independent schools duke it out on the field

The annual Independent Schools Athletics, hosted by Flamboyant School saw 350 athletes from St Peters, Curro Nelspruit, Riverview Prep, Penryn College and Summerhill Prep competing.

Pupils took part in various track and field items such as sprints, hurdles, shot put and high jump where quite a few records were broken during the meeting. The competition was a great way for the athletes of the various schools to see how they measured up to their peers and the top athletes in each item received a medal.

Various schools complimented the hosts on their excellent organisation, and the smooth running of the event saying they looked forward to next year’s meeting.
