Mall plans not hampered by setbacks

The managing agent of this project, Mr Alf de la Hunt of Thornby Mellows One (PTY) LTD, told Steelburger/Lydenburg News, “We have invested R80 million thus far in the project and we would not have identified Lydenburg for this mall had we not seen the potential of this town.”

LYDENBURG – Plans for the construction of one of the biggest investments in town, the Panorama Mall, that will cost approximately R400 million to complete, is still well underway despite some minor setbacks. The anticipated commencement date is August 2015 with completion set for October 2016.
The managing agent of this project, Mr Alf de la Hunt of Thornby Mellows One (PTY) LTD, told Steelburger/Lydenburg News, “We have invested R80 million thus far in the project and we would not have identified Lydenburg for this mall had we not seen the potential of this town.”
Panorama Mall, whose name was decided upon by the developer and management, will cover an area of approximately 26 000m² with the potential for future expansion to approximately 45 000m². “This project is my baby. I personally came to live here to oversee the progress. This is one of several projects we are currently running.”
