White River blackout
White River residents have lost all supply of power due to a broken transformer.
White River residents have been left in the dark today due to a main 132/11 Kv transformer that was lost.
The municipality will do pressure tests and municipal manager Neil Diamond have authorized the transfer of one transformer from the Nelsriver transmission to temporarily supply White River with power.
He apologized for any inconvenience caused by the blackout. He mentioned that the Energy Department is on the site and will work through the night to do the switch and repair the problem.
Neil went on to say that White River power supply will be restored in the next 24 – 30 hours.
