MBOMBELA – The Mpumalanga Youth Choir (MPYC) Prestige Evening was held at the Reformed Church last Saturday evening.

The Hoërskool Rob Ferreira Choir, Artreach Choir and Artreach Marimba and Jembe Band performed.

Various MPYC members performed the solo numbers they had sung at the Nelspruit Eisteddfod.

Then the provincial choir took to the stage, conducted by André Oosthuizen.

After the performance the members were awarded provincial colours and for service to the choir, ranging from one to five years.

The MPYC also performed at the Mpumalanga Show last Sunday.

The choir consists of high school children from the Mpumalanga Highveld and Lowveld.
