Night-time shopping at Farmers’ Market @ Sonpark

The event that takes place once a month at Sonpark Centre will now also host a night market. Koos Schoonraad initiated the Farmers' Market @ Sonpark to provide a platform for locals to generate an income during the difficult circumstances surrounding the lockdown.

It provides a platform for locals to show off their homemade and handmade products.

With further easing to lockdown level 2, Schoonraad, along with Kobus Jacobs of Sonpark Centre and Pauline Moller, have added a night market to the mix. The community will now be able to access locally produced goods on Friday September 4 from 17:00 to 21:00 and the usual market on Saturday from 08:00 to 13:00.

Live music will be provided by Havanna and Annemarie White. A cupcake competition will also be held on the Saturday morning.
