Homage paid to murdered girl
Boshielo held a brief memorial session with the school management team and the SGB before proceeding to meet the family to offer support.
SEKHUKHUNE – The Limpopo Department of Education paid homage to the murdered grade R learner, Bokamoso Tjabadi (6), on Friday.
The Limpopo MEC for education, Polly Boshielo, and Sekhukhune District Municipality’s MMC, Orginia Mafefe, visited the late girl’s school, Thotaneng Primary, on Friday.
Boshielo held a brief memorial session with the school management team and the SGB before proceeding to meet the family to offer support. She said the community is under constant attack by criminals and the rate of these heinous incidents are moving at an alarming rate across the country, and that this needs to be addressed.
She said the school and the family must be comforted and supported during these difficult times. The young girl was buried on September 4 in Phokwane Village.
Her body had been found in a neighbour’s house last week. “The motive for this incident is unknown at this stage, but the possibility of attempting to cover up another crime, such as rape, cannot be ruled out,” said the spokesperson for the Limpopo SAPS, Brig Motlafelo Mojapelo. The suspect is expected to appear in the Nebo Magistrate’s Court soon.
